I too have thought about this... it is a bit of a puzzle to solve were we to ever get there. Especially in a meaningful manner that is generalized enough and works with other costume parts readily.

The Diversified Gloves section lists Bone as one of the options, but none of the Bone gloves seem to have any diversification.

My apologies. That should have read Spine instead of Bone.

I'll get that listing corrected in our patch notes.

The fact that Cryptic (and later, Paragon) Studios never got around to enabling "hair motion" for longer hair is just one of those curiosities. Pony tail hair that swishes and sways with movement would seem to be such an obvious development angle to build on.

Rebirth already has a number of long-requested costume features dating back to live, such as the single panel tights for female chests, arm wings, and asymmetrical chest and hip patterns. As well as novel innovations discovered along the way and worked into new subsystems, such as integrated tights.

Without saying any more than this, my next development cycle is meant to be another period of research and development of the existing options when taken to creative limits. Last time I did an R&D stint was the work that immediately preceding and fundamental to all the Rebirth specific costume options described above. So time will tell where this next three months of R&D leads.

Hello, just tested the spider smasher costume part. I was at 175 wolf spiders when i came to test. The "costume slot unlocked" notification did come up when i hit 200, just wasnt fast enough to screen shot it. The spider smasher is under graffiti symbols. It wasnt there before i got the spider smasher badge.

What are the anticipated (programming) problems with enabling promotion/demotion of SG members who are currently offline?

To answer your specific question, I would anticipate that it would start with one of our C coders committing to investigate the proposed new slash commands. They would likely take a half day to two days just looking at and tracing similar structures and functions in the code. And from there begin working the problem. With many similar endeavors on the CoH source code, we have so far seen a pretty wide variance with some problems taking 1-2 days of focus to resolve. While others spiral into weeks of investigation and knock-on problems. So bottom line: we won't know until someone with the appropriate skills looks directly at the problem.

In the interest of full transparency, /altinvite is something ALL the servers inherited from Paragon. It was either a GM only permission, something that was nearly completed, or something that was functional (if problematic--see BRW's vaguely described database bug) and was held back from the public.

So despite any claims to the contrary or impressions acquired and not actively dispelled elsewhere, /altinvite was not new programming. (The bug fix is new work. IIRC this work was then shared with the wider community via Ourodev and direct messages to other teams.)

I do not know if there are any WIP slash commands or even already done features that do what you are asking for and could be turned on or quickly adapted into offline promotion/demotion slash tags like altinvite. That would come out in the C coder's investigations most likely.

Also this is not my area of expertise. (I don't code in C. I'd like to, but it feels like I always have a dozen new things I'd like to be learning for CoH!) We can raise it with our coders during a staff meeting. But I can say for certain it probably won't receive priority for at least a few months. I do know that we have 2-3 items that have already been prioritized for early issue 6 development, source code changes that would be fundamental to two specific development paths we'd like to see first included in the next issue. But as with other QoL improvements, sometimes a request touches a passion shared by one of our devs and it gets worked into the rotation by one or more volunteers putting in even more extra time than usual.

Farm Tank's work on the other slash command work during issue 5 is a perfect example of this going above and beyond. And we have something else related to UX coming in Ri6 that is already done by Jursi, another C coder who stays mostly "back of the house," that was also a labor of love that they wanted to see fixed/improved in the live game and put in extra hours to do so during the late Ri5 dev cycle.

For 100% clarity, it does not allow for promotion or demotion of offline alts or members in supergroups.

It only allows you to use a single account to invite all your characters of relevant alignment status to an existing supergroup. And you must do so from a character in said supergroup with invite permissions.

There appears to be a hitch in the flight animation. When my character comes to a dead stop, the flight pose is held for roughly half a second before dropping into idle.

For clarity, a few questions:

Are you using the default flight pose? Or a custom flight pose?

Were you using Afterburner as well? Have you customized either Afterburner or Hover?

See the two attached images. These are WIP test screens of Neon under the Bustier integrated tights top and paired with the Small Pointed diversified gloves.

A goal for Issue 5 is to expand all the glowing skins to these options.

Regarding 3d domino masks, those are in a state of production. But we do want to tie them like capes and auras to a mini-arc to unlock fully. A few basic models will be available at level 1. The intent is to have a lvl 10 arc that goes into the trope of "Why wear a mask?" for all alignments (including goldside).

Just like capes and auras, there will likely be a card in the All Hallows' Eve pack that unlocks them globally from lvl 1. But we definitely want to weave them into player progression for players. There are about 15-25 mask models in various states of production. This particular feature keeps getting pushed back by other work.

And a reminder for cross server players that Jagged's tool has been demonstrated to work fairly well with costume files from other servers! So if you jump between Rebirth and Thunderspy, HC, or New Dawn, there is a decent chance it will help convert your saved costumes into a format that load without issue for Rebirth!

I'm not sure if I'm reading your request correctly. But I think what you are asking for here are the new glowing skin options to be woven into the "integrated tights" already in game? Things like "halter top", "bustier", "single shoulder halter", etc.--where you can pick your under and over material?

If that is your request, you're in luck. This was a stretch goal on Issue 4 that there just wasn't time for. But it is one of my first tasks for Issue 5. In fact, I just spent a lot of hours over the past week weaving the new skin options throughout the diversified gloves on male, female, and huge.

So know that this is indeed coming.

Glowing over garments in integrated tights though will likely not be happening due to how our menus are structured and that will lead to significant menu bloat. (There are some other special things planned eventually for the top layer garments.) For better or worse, players who want glowing clothing will need to make the existing neck to waist to elbow full chest options work for them, be it the baggy or tight tops.

But yes, integrated tights are happening and coming next issue.

Face masks are a different story. You'll need to wait for when 3d domino masks get released in a different update in the future. (We have some specific things planned around those as well!)
