July 28th Patch Notes: Vendor Updates AKA We're Sorry the Summer Blockbuster Event was Busted

Heya folks, we have a simple, but impactful, set of patch notes for Rebirth’s first(ish) content update!

Reward Merit Vendor Updates

  • Event Enhancement Sets Overwhelming Force, Avalanche, Blistering Cold, Entomb, Frozen Blast, and Winter’s Bite have been added for 125 Reward Merits and 1,000,000 influence each (200 Reward Merits and 2,500,000 influence for procs).
    An influence cost was added to offset that these are ready-to-use enhancements as opposed to recipes.

  • Second Generation Archetype Origin Enhancement Sets Defiant Barrage, Unrelenting Fury, Overpowering Presence, Scourging Blast, Vigilant Assault, Dominating Grasp, Mark of Supremacy, Critical Strikes, Assassin’s Mark, Gauntleted Fist, Essence Transfer, and Spider’s Bite have been added for 400 Reward Merits and 25,000,000 influence each (500 Reward Merits and 25,000,000 influence for procs).
    These are the same values as the first generation ATOs; the original 4-day lockout applies as well.

Astral Merit Vendor Updates

  • Event Enhancement Sets Overwhelming Force, Avalanche, Blistering Cold, Entomb, Frozen Blast, and Winter’s Bite have been added for 16 Astral Merits and 1,000,000 influence each (32 Astral Merits and 2,500,000 influence for procs).

  • Second Generation Archetype Origin Enhancement Sets Defiant Barrage, Unrelenting Fury, Overpowering Presence, Scourging Blast, Vigilant Assault, Dominating Grasp, Mark of Supremacy, Critical Strikes, Assassin’s Mark, Gauntleted Fist, Essence Transfer, and Spider’s Bite have been added for 55 Astral Merits and 25,000,000 influence each (70 Astral Merits and 25,000,000 influence for procs).

Alignment Vendor Updates

  • Event Enhancement Sets Overwhelming Force, Avalanche, Blistering Cold, Entomb, Frozen Blast, and Winter’s Bite have been added for 1 Hero or Villain Merit and 1,000,000 influence each (2 Hero or Villain Merits and 2,500,000 influence for procs).

Drop Notification Updates

  • Enhancement Catalysts will now display as Rare Salvage instead of Very Rare Salvage.
  • Temporary Power Recipes will now display as Uncommon Recipes instead of Rare Recipes.
    These changes do not affect drop rates, they just don’t trick you into thinking you got something better than you did anymore. Temp Power Recipe drops do not interfere with normal recipe drops.

Day Jobs Updates

  • The time to be logged off to earn any given Day Job badge has been decreased from 21 days to 5 days. Patrol Experience and Day Job Accolade Powers are unaffected.
    We want to reward you for playing the game, not being logged off.

This patch to go live with our Sunday, July 28th (Extended) Maintenance!

I didn’t even expect to see the event enhancement sets. Those give slow resistance, right? If so, then I can finally get rid of my slow weakness that some of my characters have.
